By removing the kitchen wall and placing a beam in the ceiling we were able to create a small dining area with a much nicer connection to the living room.
Living Room to Kitchen
Then by lightening up the wall colors and refinishing the hardwood floors this small little cottage began to feel much larger.
New windows were installed throughout the house. The relationship to the outdoors and kitchen/dining area was vastly improved.
White shaker cabinets, concrete colored quartz and a subtle glass back splash and new appliances made the kitchen sparkle.
New siding, roof and the new covered front porch turned this ugly duckling into a swan.
The colors brightened up a previously very drab look.
Little Farms Garden Room
This area is a part of the "Little Farms" plat in West Seattle, with 7,500 square foot lots where growing your own food was encouraged. This out building was about to fall down but after repair it became a very special space.
Little Farms Backyard
We installed a new planting garden space behind the garage and created a better connection from the house to the out building.
We removed the drop ceiling in the previously unfinished basement, properly insulated the exterior walls, installed new lighting, carpet and paint creating a nice usable space.
